“I kept buying clothes and she kept refusing to wear them. Not because of the colour or the cut — because of how they felt. That was the beginning of Nimuki.”
— Radhika, co-founder of Nimuki
Nimuki started with one unhappy four-year-old and one scratchy collar. We're Radhika and her husband — and we built this from Kolkata because we couldn't find what we were looking for on any shelf.

Most kidswear is designed for parents — the colours catch your eye, the photographs look beautiful. But your four-year-old doesn't care about any of that. They care about whether it feels right against their skin. Whether they can run in it. Whether they want to wear it.
That gap is where Nimuki lives.
We started small — as most honest things do. A kitchen table, a few fabric samples, a lot of trial and error. We made something for our own daughter first, because we'd exhausted every other option. She wore it three days in a row. That told us everything.
We also knew we were building for Indian kids — which meant building for India's climate. Heat. Humidity. Monsoon weeks where everything gets damp and scratchy. Most international kidswear brands weren't thinking about that. We were, because we live it.
Every Nimuki piece is made in small batches. That means slower. It also means we can look at every piece before it leaves. It means we can change what isn't working. It means we're not making more than we believe in. That's a trade we're happy to make.
Our daughter refused one too many uncomfortable outfits. We started looking for better options — and found very few.
We began testing fabrics and cuts ourselves. Soft enough, breathable enough, able to survive an Indian summer — that was the brief.
Our first real piece passed the hardest test: a child who didn't want to take it off. We knew we had something.
Small batch, D2C, built for Indian parents and their kids. The little years — lived in, played through, napped in.

If it isn't genuinely soft against a child's skin, it doesn't leave our hands.
02
We'd rather make less and check every piece than scale in ways that sacrifice quality.
03
No trend-chasing. Shapes and colours that work for the actual life of a 3–6 year old.

Built for Indian heat, Indian households, and Indian kids who live life at full volume.
